Therapy for Individuals
I provide psychological assessments and therapy for individuals, although my approach is what I would call systemic. I don't believe that people exist in isolation; we have relationships with ourselves and with other people. Understanding these relationships, past and present, helps us to work out what is causing us difficulties, and decide what to change. I work in a way that is informed by a number of therapy models, so a psychological assessment helps to identify the best approach for you and your needs. These models include narrative therapy, compassion focused therapy (CFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and non-violent resistance (NVR).
You might be here because you’re struggling at the moment. Maybe things are hard at home or at work, or someone has expressed concerns about your behaviour. You might just feel that you’re not living life the way you would like to, or you’re struggling to take an active role in your life due to circumstances outside of your control. Perhaps things have started to have an impact on people around you and on your relationships, so you’ve decided it’s time to make some changes.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to help you decide whether you want to work with me to make these changes. Or get in touch using the contact tab for more information.
