Group interventions
Raising Relationships is operating as a Community Interest Company, which is a not for profit social enterprise. I chose to work in this way to facilitate close partnerships with local services, including the local authority and CAFCASS, focusing on family interventions.
I intend to develop group work that is available with the following aims:
- Working with separated parents and parental alienation
- Keeping children safe from sexual abuse (Keep safe work / working with non-offending partners)
- Keeping children safe from the impact of domestic abuse
- Working with stressed parents to reduce the risk of physical harm
- Providing psychological interventions informed by the Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) model
- Connecting with babies to develop healthy attachments
I am planning to start group work in 2020, but we do not have firm dates yet. The priorities for groups are likely to be:
- Connecting with babies: healthy attachments
- Protecting children from sexual abuse
- Reducing family violence using the NVR model
If you would like to enquire about group work costs, dates and arrangements, please do get in touch for the most up to date information. The more demand I have for group work, the easier it will be to develop a schedule that works for referrers (usually local authorities) and individuals.
If you are a parent reading this because you are looking for support with what you believe to be parental alienation, please contact me for further information. I am able to provide support and interventions to parents struggling with alienation and loss of contact with their children and I would very much like to be able to help you. We do have to make any arrangements carefully and with sufficient professional support, however, which is why I ask you or your legal representative to contact me before sending detailed information to me or discussing my involvement in court.
I have experience of working with family courts and accept referrals for court mandated treatment (with discussion and prior agreement); I accept referrals funded by legal aid.
I will provide updates on this aspect of the service shortly. In the meantime, if you would like to discuss potential partnership arrangements or enquire about any of the work that could come under the CIC, please do get in touch.
